Currently best available technology allows efficient radioactive sources detection, even if their radioactivity is relatively low or if they are hidden among metal which can significantly weaken the emission of the vehicle or the container.

This is why systems “portal” are used, composed by large detectors placed next to the collection center entrance and along the vehicles passage and they make the alarm go off in case the radioactive substance is hidden among junk.

These systems, which are subjected to environmental stress, need periodic checks that use known radioactive sources capable of evaluating the device’s efficiency in accordance with safety and security legislation.

Radiation and Robotic uses the best technologies for periodic check the efficiency of the radiometric portals with calibrated radioactive sources, to guarantee the equipment's ability to detect hidden sources among metal scrap, also in compliance with the ISO-UNI technical standards.

The results of the checks carried out are recorded through a special ANDROID application, specially created by Radiation an Robotic and the processing results is immediately sent by e-mail to the Company.
